Graphia Network Blurb

  • Project Overview

In short – Graphia is making a multi-layered platform, which is to allow Graphia users to tokenize real-world assets (RWA), trade them, and then initiate delivery of the RWA.  In case that the tokenized asset is a physical good (e.g. wheat, wine, etc.) the delivery will be physical.  Otherwise, the delivery may happen on a blockchain, or can be initiated via blockchain and finalized through an inscription in a public registry.

Graphia is laser focused on facilitating transactions that lead to actual delivery of various types of goods, and is hence developing several tokenization, trading, and delivery mechanisms.  Concretely, we are developing:

  1. Tokenization Platform – it will be easy to tokenize an asset, by just following a simple step-by-step procedure.  This platform will have additional features, such as issuers profiles, a chat application, an option to contact the issuer, to leave comments on issuers, etc.
  2. Regulated Trading Mechanism – this is being developed in cooperation with a licensed CEX.  There is a regulatory framework for facilitating trade in actual physical goods via tokenization, and we will fully comply with this framework.  More information will be shared in the following weeks.
  3. Decentralised Exchange – when the delivery is to be made on-chain (e.g. in case of tokenized corporate bonds), trading via a DEX is the preferred option.  Our DEX is also to be used for speculating on the price of assets that are to be delivered physically (initiating a delivery will take some extra steps).  The DEX is to be deployed on one or more existing popular blockchains, depending on customer demand.  In some cases, we will just list Graphia-issued RWA tokens on existing DEXs.
  4. Delivery Platform – Graphia’s main goal is to allow RWA Token holders to actually receive their RWAs.  The delivery process will be facilitated by Graphia, via its platform.
  5. Modular Blockchain – only by using the modular blockchain technology we can develop the robust mechanism that is necessary for scaling Graphia.  Scaling is to be done in the terms of (i) covering as many asset types as possible, and (ii) covering as many jurisdictions as possible.  As the nature of trading different asset types requires different trading processes, and as different jurisdictions regulate trade differently, we will use the Cosmos technology to deploy as many specially-configured blockchains as needed.
  6. Lending and Borrowing – please note that, once the mentioned infrastructure is in place, we will develop a solution that will allow users to use their tokenized assets as collateral, which has the potential to revolutionise asset-based finance.

  • Vision and Timing

In our view (and in the view of most crypto enthusiasts) – in just a few decades, the fact that the world economy runs on blockchain will be considered normal, in the same way it is now considered normal that the world runs on the internet.

For this to happen, crypto needs to go through three, somewhat overlapping, phases: (i) establishing trust in the blockchain technology – this happen with emergence of Bitcoin, Ethereum, smart contracts, etc., (ii) using blockchain for payments – every store will have a crypto payment option and, in a while, a retailer will not ask you are you going to pay in crypto – he will ask you which crypto do you prefer, and (iii) using blockchain as a ledger for most asset classes.

We are right now witnessing the emergence of the second phase of crypto development – more and more websites allow you to pay in crypto, new crypto-payment solutions are produced every day, and national governments are starting to accept that crypto payments are a fact.

At Graphia, we want to build the infrastructure for step (iii) – RWA era is about to start, and we want to be the first to provide a robust and comprehensive ecosystem for tokenasing, trading, and expediting delivery of RWAs.

  • First Milestone

We want to do the hard thing first – we want to show that it is possible to tokenize physical goods, such as wheat and other agricultural products, trade them as digital tokens, and facilitate physical delivery.

Namely, Graphia Labs DOO is registered in the Republic of Serbia, a country proud of its farmers and locally produced food. In the first iteration, our solution will be deployed locally, in Serbia, and will connect farmers and their customers. Farmers will tokenize their products, and their customers will be able to buy and trade these tokens. Once a customer decides they want the products delivered, they can facilitate the delivery by using the Graphia platform.

Currently, we are developing the MVP on a Layer 2 environment, while simultaneously working on our modular Cosmos SDK-based chain. The testnet for our chain is planned for September, while the test version of the platform is expected to be available in May, with access via whitelisting. The live version of the platform, enabling users to start using the services, is anticipated in June.

In the initial phase, our focus is on tokenizing physical goods, starting locally in Serbia by connecting farmers and buyers, as well as collaborating with event organisers who will host various events. This solution is in development and is expected to launch in June, with the aim of demonstrating the ability to tokenize physical goods and facilitate their physical delivery on our platform. After the launch of the basic MVP, we plan to continue expanding our platform, with the development of futures contracts for agricultural goods identified as one of the next steps.

We aim to go into the Token Generation Event (TGE) with a working product – the first platform that actually facilitates physical delivery of tokenized RWA. Isn’t that what RWA tokenization is all about?

  • Further Development

Next we will focus on developing our own modular blockchain – as that is a precondition for actually scaling our solutions.  Our experienced developers are already working on this, and we aim to have an operational testnet in Q3 of 2024.

In parallel, we will be fine-tuning our tokenization platform, and we will incorporate in several jurisdictions – as that is also a scaling precondition (we intend to be fully compliant with all local laws, hence we need to have a corporate structure more robust than most crypto startups).

  • Why Invest in GPC?  What is the Use Case?

There are some projects that are actually bringing value to the crypto community as a whole, but not to their token holders.  Usually, such projects allow you to cast a non-binding vote on a secondary issue related to the protocol – and thatćs all.

With GPC it’s different, it is structured as to allow holders to (financially) participate in Graphia’s success.  Concretely, the use cases are as follows:

  1. Whenever Graphia makes profit (e.g. through tokenization or trading fees), so will the holders.  These profits will be distributed either via buyback & burn, or via a stablecoin airdrop – or through a combination of these methods.
  2. Once the modular blockchain is online, GPC will be used in the consensus mechanism.  Basically, it will be possible to stake GPC and to receive staking rewards.
  3. Graphia deals with tokenization of RWA, and will thus facilitate issuance of numerous tokens.  When appropriate, a portion of these tokens will be airdroped to GPC holders.

We are not against consulting our community regarding future plans and development – it’s exactly the opposite.  However, we decided to only include those use cases that bring direct monetary benefit to holders in the list above.

Please note that the total supply of GPC tokens will be limited to 500,000,000, and that the token itself will be deflationary – due to the buyback & burn mechanism.

  • How to get involved?

If you like Graphia’s vision, and want to participate in what we are doing, there are several ways to get involved:

  1. You can tokenize your assets.  If you are producing goods, running a business, or just own assets you want to tokenize – feel free to approach us, and we’ll get the tokenization process started.
  2. You can buy GPC.  Prior to TGE (which is set for  september) you can invest through a seed round or through the public sale.  After that, you will be able to purchase GPC on some CEX exchanges.
  3. You can send us a CV, and we’ll talk about including you in our team.  All open positions will be advertised on our website.
  4. We are aiming to make a vibrant online community!  You can join our social networks at the following links: Twitter Telegram
